Reliance Jio has unveiled its latest feature phone named JioPhone Prima 4G at the Indian Mobile Congress 2023.
As the name suggests the feature phone comes with 4G connectivity at a very reasonable price. However, the highlight of the phone is that it supports apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and more.
The phone also gives you access to apps like JioCinema, JioSaavn, JioTV, JioChat and JioPay for UPI payments. The phone also supports 23 languages.
The JioPhone Prima 4G runs on KaiOS, an open-source operating system based on Firefox OS.
The feature phone sports a TFT display with a screen resolution of 320×240 pixels.
It sports a standard feature phone design with rounded edges and a concentric circle design at the rear panel.
On the back, the phone packs a single camera and for selfies, there is a 0.3MP camera.
The phone is powered by an ARM Cortex A53 chipset backed by 512MB RAM. You can have up to 128GB of storage through a microSD card.
The phone runs on a 1,800 mAh battery. It also features FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and much more.
Priced at Rs 2,599, the phone will be available around Diwali through online stores as well as JioMart.
Reliance Jio had recently launched the JioBharat B1 4G feature phone with UPI support, a 2.4-inch display, expandable storage of up to 128GB, and more at Rs 1,299.
