Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is almost ready to launch its latest phone, the Redmi Note 13R Pro. It has now been seen on the China Telecom website with renders, pricing details, and key specifications.
The successor to the Redmi Note 12R Pro has been listed in three color options and comes with a 6.67-inch display.
As per the listing, the upcoming android phone will have a centrally-located punch-hole camera. The phone is expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. In the listing, it is codenamed MT6833P. The SoC should enable smooth processing and multitasking performance.
The processor could be coupled with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone will run on Android 13 with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin.
From the leaked renders, it appears the phone will be carrying a triple camera unit on the back, comprising a 108MP primary camera, a wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP secondary sensor. Still packing the useless 2MP sensors in 2023, and guess what, people still fall for it.
For selfies, it could pack a 16-megapixel sensor at the front with 1080p video recording support.
The phone will have the usual connectivity options such as NFC, USB Type-C port, and GPS.
The upcoming phone is expected to be a step up from the Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G that was launched in May in China with a price tag of CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,700).
As per the China Telecom listing, the Redmi Note 13R Pro will be priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 23,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
The handset is shown in Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Morning Light Gold (translated from Chinese) color options.
Notably, the Redmi Note 13R Pro could launch in India right after the launch in the home-grown market. The smartphone will fight the likes of the Realme number series, Motorola G-series, and Samsung’s J and M-series handsets in India.
