iPhone 15 launch event- Techtrackr

In just about a day, Apple will be revealing its latest slew of devices at the Wonderlust event on September 12. Top of the chart are the new iPhone 15 phones that have created quite a buzz already for a number of new features, several firsts for Apple.

Just like every year, this time too Apple’s event has everyone talking, not to mention the rumour factories that continuously supplied us with the latest and most trending gossip on Apple. So before we head to the official event, let’s round up all that is expected at the Apple event.

This year’s Apple event will start at around 10.30 pm IST and those who are interested can watch it via Apple’s website, the TV app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, and via Apple’s official YouTube channel.

Let’s first hear about the entry-level iPhone 15 models:

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are likely to be a minor update to their predecessors. The biggest updates we are expecting in these two phones will be in the form of the Dynamic Island, which was a Pro model feature last year.

All the iPhones this year will come with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. So goodbye, Lightning cable! It has been reported that Apple might pack a color-matched braided USB Type-C cable in the box.

Last year’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max were powered by the A16 Bionic Chip, this year it will be handed down to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

As we said, there aren’t going to be any radical changes in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus apart from the USB-C and the Dynamic Island.

Moving on to the stars of the show, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The two phones are expected to get the most of the design updates, performance, and camera upgrades.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will noticeably be smaller with thinner bezels around the display. The two phones are likely to run a 1.5mm bezel around the display.

The Pro models could also support faster charging at 35W and Thunderbolt speeds for data transfer at rates of up to 40 Gbps.

This year Apple is also expected to replace the current stainless steel edges with a titanium frame. This will not only make the phones lighter but stronger too, with a matte finish.

The top two phones will be powered by Apple’s first-ever 3nm chip. The new A17 Bionic chip is expected to offer greater performance and efficiency.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max will include a periscope lens that will offer increased optical zoom up to 5-6X.

Apple Watch Series 9

In addition to the iPhone 15 phones, Apple will launch a new Apple Watch Series 9, however, it is unlikely to be a major update.

The new processor inside the Watch will be powered by a new S9 processor to offer performance and battery life improvements.

There are reports that Apple might launch its biggest-ever Watch update next year with the Watch X. But more about that later.

And one more thing!

With its latest acquired 3nm technology, Apple is going to use it for good. And one big reveal this year will be the upcoming superpowered MacBooks based on M3 processors.

Since Apple only this January launched the MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs, the next generation will likely hit the market next year. But that shouldn’t stop Apple from creating a buzz by announcing their imminent arrival.

To wrap it up, this year’s stars will of course be the iPhone 15 family but there is going to be a lot more than that to be excited for, including the iOS 17.

Another day and everything will be revealed. Stay tuned!
