Apple rumoured to have tested a triangular rear camera for iPhone 16 Pro series

Apple usually tries out a bunch of different designs for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max before they pick one to make a bunch of. But, according to one person who knows stuff, some of the camera bump ideas they’ve been playing with are pretty wild. One of them is supposed to be shaped like a triangle and look like an electric razor. This comes after we heard that they were testing out a camera bump that looks like a fidget spinner.

Majin Bu, who says he’s been talking to some people who don’t want to be named, has some new info about the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. He says they won’t have a camera bump that looks like a fidget spinner. Instead, it’s going to have a triangle shape. The person who knows stuff says Apple is doing this so they can put more cameras or bigger sensors on the new phones compared to the old ones.

As most of you probably know, the iPhone 16 Pro is supposed to have a better telephoto lens, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max is supposed to have an even better main camera than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The new top-of-the-line phone is supposed to have Sony’s Exmor IMX903 camera, which is a bit bigger than the IMX803 camera at 1/1.14 inches. It also has some cool tech like double-layer transistors.

The highest camera resolution is supposed to stay at 48MP, but because the camera is bigger, Apple’s iPhone designers might have to come up with a new back part. But, since Apple usually tries out a bunch of different designs before they pick one, it’s possible this one won’t make it to the final version.

The person who knows stuff said before that the iPhone 16 might have a front camera cutout, but like the triangle-razor camera bump, we don’t think this will actually happen.

Which design do you like better for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max? We suggest taking part in the poll below so we can see what you think. Personally, we like the camera bump on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Even though it’s been used a few times, there’s something about it that we like.
