Apple has spilled the beans on the count of apps ready to roll with the Vision Pro at its debut. The announcement came on Thursday, revealing that over 600 apps and games fine-tuned for the Vision Pro will hit the scene starting Friday.
On top of the streaming apps Apple spilled the beans on last month, now they’re dropping the news that users can dive into apps from cable providers such as Charter, Spectrum, Comcast, Cox, Sling TV, and Verizon Fios.
And that’s not all – they’ve got your sports fix covered too with support for the NBA app and PGA Tour Vision, offering real-time shot tracking on 3D models of actual golf courses. Plus, over 250 Apple Arcade games are in the mix for the Vision Pro, including titles like Lego Builder’s Journey, Super Fruit Ninja, Bloons TD 6, Skatrix Pro, What the Golf?, Cut the Rope 3, and a bunch more.
Imagine virtually touring the Natural History Museum in London with David Attenborough using Hold the World. Then, there’s Voyager by ForeFlight, giving you a glimpse into the coordinated world of air traffic control. And for the shopaholics, you can virtually try on clothes with J.Crew Virtual Closet. If you’re into home decor, Lowe’s Style Studio and Wayfair Decorify will let you design and decorate your space in augmented reality. How cool is that?
It’s got your back with file sharing on Box, brainstorming with MindNode, and keeping tasks organized using OmniFocus and OmniPlan. Plus, there’s JigSpace, a nifty app that blends 3D content, audio, video, and text for interactive, step-by-step spatial presentations on the Vision Pro. And for all your work-related needs, it supports apps like Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Notion, and Todoist.
Even though the Vision Pro is rolling out with a bunch of apps, there are two big names missing in action: Netflix and YouTube. Both have made it clear they’re not cooking up apps tailored for the Vision Pro. Fingers crossed the existing lineup of over 600 apps will do the trick for now.
