Asus ROG G22CH Gaming desktop is a dream come true for PC gamers, check why

Asus has introduced the Asus ROG G22CH gaming desktop, touted as a compact and high-performance solution for PC gaming enthusiasts. Recognized with accolades such as the 2023 Red Dot Product Design and Good Design Awards, the desktop PC aims to balance aesthetics and gaming prowess for serious PC gamers.

The compact gaming desktop boasts dimensions of 11.50cm in width, 32.30cm in depth, and 28.69cm in height. With a weight of 8.4 kg, it combines power and portability in a sleek design.

The new ROG G22 CH Desktop is part of Asus’s 2024 gaming portfolio, which also introduces the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16, and the refreshed Strix SCAR 16, the Strix SCAR 18 gaming laptops. Here we will focus on the ROG G22CH Desktop gaming setup.

Asus ROG G22CH Desktop Specifications and Processing Power

At the heart of the ROG G22CH desktop lies a 14th-generation Core i7-14700F processor, paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card and a configurable 32GB DDR5 RAM. The desktop PC comes equipped with high-definition 7.1-channel audio and equips a 600W power supply (80+ Gold, peak 600W). Asus ROG G22CH PC runs Windows 11 out-of-the-box.

The cooling system, highlighted as a key feature, comprises a custom liquid cooler and strategic vent placement for efficient cooling, promising a silent operation even under heavy loads. As overheating is a common concern in gaming desktops, the effectiveness of this cooling solution is crucial for sustained gaming performance.

While these specifications suggest the potential for handling demanding gaming scenarios, the true test lies in practical performance and how well it competes with existing gaming desktops.

Connectivity and Modern Features

With USB Type C, USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi 6, and Gigabit LAN, the ROG G22 seems well-equipped to meet the connectivity demands of modern gaming setups. However, the real-world application of these features in enhancing the gaming experience needs to be assessed.

Aura Sync RGB Lights and Bundled Accessories

The inclusion of Aura Sync RGB Lights compatibility and bundled accessories, including a wired keyboard and mouse, adds a touch of customization and convenience. However, such features, while appealing, should not overshadow the core functionality and performance of the desktop.

Asus ROG G22CH Desktop PC Pricing and Availability

The ROG G22CH enters the market with a starting price of Rs. 2,29,990. It is available through various channels, including the Asus e-shop, Amazon India website, Flipkart, and Asus Exclusive and ROG Stores. Assessing the desktop’s value proposition in comparison to its competitors in the market will be crucial for potential buyers.

While Asus emphasizes the ROG G22CH’s strengths, including design recognition and a robust spec sheet, an objective evaluation requires a closer look at its real-world gaming performance, user reviews, and its standing in the competitive gaming desktop landscape.
