All three smartphones in the series- Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra feature a range of on-device AI features, powered by Galaxy AI. It’s essentially an umbrella term that Samsung is using for its AI suite for Galaxy smartphones.
The AI features and functionalities are scattered across every use case of the handsets including communication, photography, creativity, productivity, and even the basic utilities. Here are 10 AI features inside the Galaxy S24-series smartphones.
Galaxy S24 series users will find a suite of AI tools:
- Live translation for two-way, real-time voice and text translations of phone calls within the native app.
- The interpreter provides real-time translations in a split-screen view for face-to-face conversations, independent of cellular data or Wi-Fi.
- Chat Assist refines tones in messages and apps for intended communication styles, be it polite messages or catchy social media captions.
- AI features in Galaxy Keyboard help translate messages in real-time in 13 languages.
- Android Auto5 summarizes incoming messages and suggests replies, like sharing your ETA and keeping you connected while prioritizing road safety.
- Note Assist6 in Samsung Notes uses AI to make summaries and templates for neat notes. It also creates covers for easy spotting. For voice recordings with many speakers.
- Transcript Assist7 uses AI to turn them into text, summaries, and even translations.

Engine Behind The AI Capabilities
To enable such native AI capabilities, every Galaxy S24 series handset is powered by a customized Snapdragon 8 gen 3 chipset. Samsung is calling it- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and it is said to be able to deliver remarkable NPU improvement for incredibly efficient AI processing. The NPU ensures that the devices quickly perform all complex computations without any lags and delays. Notably, the AI features are smartly integrated into the all-new One UI 6.1 based on Android 14.
In addition to AI features, the new Galaxy S24 smartphones are also claimed to be powerful gaming devices. The Galaxy S24 Ultra features an enhanced thermal control system, with a 1.9 times larger vapor chamber for improved surface temperature and sustained performance power. Ray tracing comes to Galaxy 24 series, and is said to enhance visual realism with superior shadow and reflection effects.
All three devices flaunt 120Hz AMOLED screens. The Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ get 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X flatter display. The screens reach the 2,600 nits peak brightness mark.

- The Galaxy S24 comes in 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB models, priced at Rs. 79,999 and Rs. 89,999, respectively.
- The Galaxy S24+ in 12GB + 256GB configuration costs Rs. 99,999, and the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs. 1,09,999.
