At the Mobile World Congress 2024, Deutsche Telekom is unveiling an innovative AI phone concept in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Brain.ai. This concept features an AI-based assistant that replaces the need for numerous apps on your smartphone. Similar to a concierge, this assistant understands your objectives and handles all the necessary details.
The smart assistant responds to your request with just a voice command. The demonstration provides real-life examples to show how an AI smartphone can simplify tasks like trip planning, shopping, video creation, or photo editing.
Deutsche Telekom’s generative interface, powered by Brain.ai, makes this possible. With AI, it can handle the tasks of many different apps and perform all the daily tasks that would typically need multiple applications on the device. The concierge can be easily and intuitively controlled using voice and text.
“Artificial intelligence and Large Language Models (LLM) will soon be an integral part of mobile devices. We will use them to improve and simplify the lives of our customers. Our vision is a magenta concierge for an app-free smartphone. The showcase integrated real-life use cases into Telekom’s T Phone, which is already available. This highlights the Group’s dedication to introducing innovations on devices that are already in the market and making them accessible to everyone. In collaboration with Brain.ai, the pioneer of generative interfaces, an app-free interface is being developed where the AI predicts and generates the next interface contextually, in line with your thoughts.
Now, users can concentrate on what they want, rather than how to achieve it. The AI is based in the cloud. This guarantees an authentic and satisfying user experience, and it’s also accessible on entry-level smartphones.
