Honor 90 5G to offer 200MP camera, 12GB RAM; will launch on September 14

It has almost become a trend to launch smartphones with ridiculously bumped-up specs, the latest to join the party is Honor with its latest phone Honor 90 5G. Its biggest USP is the 200MP primary camera.

The Honor 90 5G is launching in India on September 14 with some spectacular features and not just in its camera department. It promises a number of innovative features in its display and design too.

The Honor 90 5G boasts a “Quad-Curved Floating Display”. The technology not only enhances the phone’s visual aesthetics but also incorporates advanced eye-comfort technology, ensuring comfortable usage for extended periods.

As mentioned earlier, the camera setup is especially impressive with a remarkable 200MP primary camera along with a 12MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera and 2MP Depth Camera on the back, and a 50MP selfie camera.

The camera will offer 4K video recording with 10x digital zoom.

The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The Honor 90 5G will come in three variants: the 12GB + 256GB variant, the 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB variant.

The 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,200 x 2,664 pixels) curved OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is teased to come equipped with a 1.5K resolution TUV Rheinland-certified display with up to 1600 nits peak brightness, 435ppi pixel density, and 3840Hz PWM (pulse-width modulation) dimming.

The smartphone will run on MagicOS 7.1, powered by Android 13.

The phone houses a substantial 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W wired fast charging.

The phone is expected to start at the price of around Rs 30,000 and the top model should be priced at Rs 35,000.

The phone will be launched in India on September 14. The launch event will begin at 12:30 pm IST.
