Apple has finally confirmed all the rumors about holding its annual press event on September 12, when it’s going to launch the new iPhones.

To be held at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California, the event will see some new products introduced by Apple along with the iPhone 15s.

Apple on its official website’s landing page has posted the company’s logo in grey, blue, and black colors, which could very much be a hint at the colors for the new iPhones.

The highlight of the show is of course the iPhone 15, especially the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max or, if rumours are true, iPhone 15 Ultra.

Here’s all you can expect from Apple’s “Wonderlust” event:

While select media and analysts will be attending the event in person, others can watch the keynote from the company’s official website.

The launch event on September 12 will begin at 10:30 PM IST and will also be live-streamed on YouTube. You can watch the “Wonderlust” event online at apple.com or on the Apple TV app.

It’s widely expected that Apple will bring out new iPhone 15 models with USB Type-C charging. It was mandated by the European Union in a landmark law requiring all mobile phones, tablets, and cameras sold in the EU to use USB-C for wired charging, with a deadline of December 28, 2024.

As per some other reports, at least some of the iPhones will sport a titanium chassis. It is likely that the famous Dynamic Island will be made available in all iPhone 15 models.

Some reports have also suggested that Apple may decide to ditch the Pro Max moniker this year to introduce the iPhone 15 Ultra. It is also likely to be costlier compared to last year’s high-end iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It is also time for Apple to introduce some bigger updates to its Watch lineup. The company could announce new Apple Watch models at the event on September 12.

Talking of updates, Apple’s AirPods Pro could also be getting an update, although we don’t expect it to be a major one since Apple takes a few years to make any big changes in its products.

It is likely that the biggest update will be Apple ditching the lightning port and adopting USB-C.

Every year Apple typically releases a new version of iOS for iPhones at the September event. This year, the iOS 17 software includes a more visual caller ID called contact posters, better autocorrect, and a new journaling app.
