Microsoft announces Surface Laptop Go 4 and Surface Laptop Studio 2, integrates Bing Chat with Dall-E 3

Microsoft hosted its Surface 2023 event in New York on Thursday and revealed a slew of new products and upgrades, each one of them more exciting than the last. Let’s take a look.

What got us the most excited about the Microsoft Surface event is the company’s advancement in the field of artificial intelligence. It announced not one but two such upgrades to its lineup.

The company announced plans to integrate OpenAI’s text-to-image tool Dall-E 3 with its own Bing Chat. What it simply means is users can now Bing Chat to generate AI images straight from the chat interface. If this is not innovative enough for you, stop reading.

Next is the Microsoft 365 Copilot, the AI-powered assistant integrated into Windows 11. The Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI assistant designed for Microsoft 365 business and enterprise customers. Even though it comes with a monthly price of $30 per user, we are sure it’s going to be worth it.

Coming out in November, Copilot will be able to help users with a number of functionalities, including summarising documents, assisting in email writing, and even creating new Word projects.

The company also plans to unify the Copilot experience across platforms, including Office 365, Windows, Edge browser, and Bing.

Microsoft also announced some new additions to its Surface computer lineup with the Surface Laptop Go 4 and Surface Laptop Studio 2.

The company has claimed that the new device is “88 percent faster”. The new laptop comes with a 12.4-inch touchscreen, weighs 1kg, and features a fingerprint power button. It also offers up to 15 hours of battery life, along with one USB-A port, one USB-C port, and a headphone jack.

The Surface Laptop Go 3 is scheduled to release on October 3 at the starting price of $799.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 was another highlight of the event. The high-end convertible laptop comes with a 14.4-inch pull-forward display.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is powered by Intel’s 13th Generation i7 H class chips, coupled with either an Nvidia RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 GPU. Additionally, it features the first Intel Neural Processing Unit (NPU) in a Windows device.

The latest Surface laptop comes with up to 2TB storage and 64GB of RAM at a starting price of $1,999.
