After months of rumors and actor Anushka Sharma’s (un)intentional design leak, OnePlus has finally confirmed that its first-ever foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, will launch in India soon.

Rumor mills all these months religiously send out leaks about the OnePlus Open’s design, specifications, and price, now it’s only a matter of weeks before the gorgeous phone opens itself to OnePlus fans.

It has been tipped that the phone will be launched in India by the end of October. At a recent tech event, the company had confirmed that Open will soon come to the Indian market. Now, OnePlus has officially teased the India launch of the phone.

OnePlus teased the phone in a post on X, formerly Twitter, showing the foldable phone in a semi-folded manner.

The teaser phone is in black color options with the OnePlus’ iconic Aler slider on the left edge of the phone. The right edge sports the volume and power buttons.

The image was posted with the caption, “A true OnePlus experience awaits. Opening Soon.” OnePlus will likely confirm the launch date soon.

Earlier, it was tipped that OnePlus Open may cost somewhere around Rs 1,20,000. The phone is going to be strikingly similar to the Oppo Find N3.

OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau has confirmed that OnePlus and Oppo jointly developed the OnePlus Open.

According to a report by The Verge, it is in fact the same phone. It said that these brands will launch the same foldable phone with different brand names, as the Oppo Find N3 is likely to be limited to China.

The phone is expected to come with a circular rear camera at the center of the upper side of the back panel.

With a 7.82-inch (2,440×2,268 pixels) OLED inner screen and a 6.31-inch (1,116 x 2,484 pixels) OLED outer display, the OnePlus Open will have a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The phone will likely be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of inbuilt storage.

The primary camera set up on the back is expected to include a 48MP sensor, a 48MP secondary sensor, and a 64MP sensor with a telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom.

The front-facing camera will be equipped with a 32MP sensor.
