OnePlus to launch affordable tablet Pad Go on October 6

Months after it entered the tablet segment with the OnePlus Pad, the Shenzhen-based company is ready to launch a more affordable tablet in the form of the OnePlus Pad Go in India.

OnePlus has officially teased the launch of the OnePlus Pad Go and confirmed that the tablet will be launched on October 6.

Even though we don’t know how much the OnePlus Pad Go will cost, the company has said that it aims to “bring the OnePlus ecosystem to the larger user base without having to compromise with the overall user experience or design”.

The upcoming tablet will come with the same ergonomic design with curved edges as the OnePlus Pad. OnePlus Pad Go will feature the same distinctive green tone and the center-camera layout.

The rear camera has been placed at the center of one edge of the tablet. The back panel blends two shades of green called “Twin Mint” in a collage of textures – a bright matte metal and glossy finish.

The company has said that it has continuously retained key design elements “to establish a unified visual identity throughout the Pad series”.

According to a report, OnePlus COO and President, Kinder Liu recently confirmed that the Pad Go will be equipped with a 2.4K display and will arrive with a TUV Rheinland certification for lower blue light emissions. It will also sport Dolby Atmos for sound.

To give some perspective, the OnePlus Pad has a 2.8k 144Hz screen. The first table from OnePlus was introduced in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB storage options, priced at Rs. 37,999 and Rs. 39,999, respectively.

The latest offering from OnePlus will come with Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13 and will get OxygenOS 14 in the coming months.

It should carry forward some features like Content Sync from the OnePlus Pad. Content Sync allows syncing OTP verification messages, rich text messages, and cellular data sharing.

The tablet should also offer copy and paste, notification sharing, and file sharing between devices.

The OnePlus Pad Go will be sold on Amazon and Flipkart, as well as the OnePlus India website and offline stores.
