OnePlus Watch 2 Lifestyle Edition and Pad Go launching on April 23

OnePlus is dropping two “almost fresh” items: a fresh “Lifestyle Edition” of the OnePlus Watch 2 and their mid-range tablet, the OnePlus Pad Go, is finally hitting Europe on April 23rd.

We don’t have the full rundown on the specs for the OnePlus Watch 2 Lifestyle Edition yet, but word on the street is that it’s rocking the same tech guts and software as the original OnePlus Watch 2 from February. But hold onto your hats because it’s likely getting a fresh makeover, possibly with a new design, strap, and color scheme to match its ‘lifestyle’ vibe.

Unfortunately, OnePlus is playing coy with the new design for now. The only sneak peek we’ve got is an official image that doesn’t spill much tea, except for that familiar barrel housing the crown and button. So, if you’re itching to know what makes this the ‘Lifestyle Edition,’ you’ll just have to wait until it hits the shelves.

On the flip side, we’ve got the scoop on the OnePlus Pad Go. It actually dropped in India back on October 20, 2023. This little guy is basically a budget-friendly spin-off of the OG OnePlus Pad, which hit the scene back in April last year. It sacrifices some of the beefier hardware from the standard model to keep the price tag down.

One of the trade-offs with the OnePlus Pad Go is that it ditches the beefier MediaTek Dimensity 9000 found in the standard Pad. Instead, it opts for the more modest Helio G99, which is built on a less-efficient 6nm process and runs at a lower clock speed.

The display on the OnePlus Pad Go rocks a similar 11-inch size, boasting a 90Hz refresh rate, a 1720 x 2408 resolution, and a typical brightness of 400 nits. It’s got the same dimensions and 7:5 aspect ratio as the OG OnePlus Pad, but with a slightly lower refresh rate and resolution.

Just like its sibling, the OnePlus Pad, the Pad Go sticks to one setup: 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. However, there are a couple of downgrades in the battery department. It shrinks from 9,510mAh to 8,000mAh and settles for 33W charging instead of the original Pad’s speedier 67W charging.

But hey, it’s not all about downgrades! The OnePlus Pad Go steps it up with LTE connectivity, so you can stay online even without Wi-Fi. And guess what? It also throws in a microSD slot for expanding storage, which is something the standard OnePlus Pad totally misses out on.

We’re still in the dark about the regional prices for both the Pad Go and the Lifestyle Edition Watch 2. But just to give you an idea, the current OnePlus Watch 2 is sitting at $299 / £269 / AU$459. So, that should give us a rough estimate for the price range of this new Watch 2 variant.

Right now, you can snag the OnePlus Pad Go for Rs 23,999, which translates to about $285 / £230 / AU$440. And here’s a sweet deal: if you’re in the UK, OnePlus is throwing in a free power adapter worth £39 when you pre-pay just £1.
