Planning to buy iPhone 15 Pro Max? Wait for Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra for better camera and faster charging

Apple disappointed a lot of fans and a lot more leaksters who were expecting the iPhone 15 to come with a periscope camera. What it did offer was a telephoto lens with up to 5X zoom capabilities.

Now, as per reports, Samsung is also going to pull off something similar by putting a 50MP telephoto lens in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. But doesn’t it already have a periscope lens? That’s where things get interesting.

Prominent leakster IceUniverse has claimed that the next Samsung flagship will come with a 50 MP telephoto lens with support for 5x optical zoom.

It also said that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will retain two separate zoom lenses, one with a 10 MP sensor capable of 3x optical zoom and a high-resolution 50 MP sensor with support for 5x optical zoom.

As we mentioned earlier, Samsung already has a periscope zoom lens in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The top Samsung phone features a 10 MP 3x telephoto lens and a secondary 10 MP periscope zoom lens with support for 10x optical zooming capability.

While the periscope lens on the Galaxy S23 Ultra offers better-zooming capabilities, the upcoming phone is expected to have a higher resolution. Samsung is also likely to offer 10x lossless zoom via in-sensor zooming technology.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is also expected to retain the 100x hybrid zooming capability from the current flagship phone.

The 5x hybrid zoom on the Galaxy S23 Ultra does not produce great clarity because of the lower resolution of the 10 MP sensor, especially when compared to the primary camera. The high-resolution 5x telephoto lens should be able to fix that issue.

The phone appeared on China’s 3C certification, revealing its fast charging details.

While the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 will have support for 25W fast charging, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra are tipped to offer 45W fast charging.

Although it doesn’t look like there will be any charging upgrades from the current flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will still be charging faster than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Samsung is expected to launch the next-generation Galaxy S series flagship phones in early 2024. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are expected to come with the company’s in-house Exynos 2400 SoC.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra should come in 8GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations.
