Redmi Note 13 Pro set to launch in India on Jan 4; leaked price will shock you

Xiaomi will kickstart the year 2024 with its first major launch under the Redmi series. Scheduled for release in India on January 4, the Redmi Note 13 series will mark the debut of three 5G-enabled smartphones: Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.

This new series aims to provide a comprehensive range of feature-rich options, covering mid-range to value flagship handsets, and addressing diverse price segments.

The second most popular in the series- the Redmi Note 13 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch 1.5K full-HD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel with 1800 NITS peak brightness. The screen gets a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and will most likely ship in three variants in India.

According to a tipster- Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), Redmi could price the Note 13 Pro’s 12GB+256GB variant in India at Rs. 25,000. The lower variants carrying 8GB RAM+128GB, and 8GB+256GB could be priced under Rs. 22,000.

Xiaomi also announced a 16GB+512GB variant in the homegrown market of China, but it seems unlikely to hit Indian markets. Even if it arrives in India, consumers will be hesitant to spend close to Rs. 30,000 on a Redmi-series device and will simply shift to a Samsung or a OnePlus handset.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro will ship with Android 13-based MIUI 14 and will boast a triple-lens rear camera featuring a 200MP OIS-enabled

Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Xiaomi is kidding, right?

Talking about the stunner- the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, the smartphone looks extremely eye-catching in renders with its pastel-colored faux leather back. As per Redmi, it will be the world’s first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will also flaunt a 1.5K AMOLED display but the panel will have gentle curves on both sides that would add a more premium feel to its looks and in-hand feel.

We are particularly more excited about the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus as it seems a more premium and feature-packed handset. If Xiaomi gets the pricing right, it can sell like hotcakes in India. This one is expected to cost up to Rs. 32,000.
