Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ gets a huge price cut ahead of Galaxy S24-series launch; check details

Now is the perfect moment to treat yourself to a brand-new handset from the Galaxy S23 series, as the lineup has just received a substantial price drop in India. The price drop comes just ahead of the official launch of the Galaxy S24 series scheduled for January 17, 2024.

However, it’s worth noting that the price drops apply to the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+ models, excluding the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which might be a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, it’s an opportune time to take advantage of the reduced prices on the S23 and S23+. The updated prices are now visible on the Samsung online store and various retailers, including Amazon and Flipkart.

The Galaxy S23 made its debut in India with a starting price of Rs. 74,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Following the price cut, this model is now available at Rs. 64,999. The 8GB RAM + 256GB variant, initially priced at Rs. 79,999, is now offered at Rs. 69,999.

Similarly, the Galaxy S23+, now listed at Rs. 84,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, has seen a price drop from the original launch price of Rs. 94,999. The 8GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is available for Rs. 94,999, down from the steep Rs. 1,04,999. Notably, both these handsets are among the best Android flagships currently available in the Indian market.

Samsung has delivered robust hardware and an impressive 4-year OS update cycle with the Galaxy S23 series. Featuring a 6.1-inch full-HD+ 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the Galaxy S23, and the 6.6-inch full-HD+ 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen on the Galaxy S23+ provide an exceptional visual experience. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, both models offer water and dust resistivity.

The Galaxy S23 and the S23+ excel in photography with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary wide-angle sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. For selfies and video calling, both models feature a 12MP front-facing camera.

The question arises: Should you opt for the Galaxy S23/23+ now or wait for the Galaxy S24 series? While the S24 series is anticipated to bring notable upgrades in design, camera, and underlying hardware, with prices ranging from INR 80K to Rs. 1,35,000, the Galaxy S23 and the S23+ remain highly capable flagships available at even better prices.

If you’re in the market for a solid Android flagship in the 70K price range, we wholeheartedly recommend considering the Galaxy S23 and the S23+.
