Chinese mobile manufacturer Tecno on Wednesday launched its latest notebook in the Megabook laptop segment with the Megabook T1 series.

Priced at just Rs 37,999, the notebook packs quite a punch. Tecno’s latest offering is quite thin and lightweight at just 1.56kg. It only gets better from here onwards.

The laptop features a 15.6-inch full HD+ display, with a peak brightness of 350 nits and 100 percent sRGB color gamut coverage. Running on Windows 11 Home out of the box, the laptop is powered by Intel’s 11th-generation processors.

The three variants of the notebook come with Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 configuration. The base model packs 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD, which is pretty impressive for the asking price.

The Core i5 version costs Rs 47,999 and comes with 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD storage. The Core i7 is priced at Rs 57,999 and packs 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD.
The notebook is available in Denim Blue, Space Grey, and Moonshine Silver color options via Amazon.

The laptop features a backlit keyboard and has TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification. The Megabook T1 also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the power key.

Juiced by a 70Whr battery unit, the laptop supports a 65W PD ultra-fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The company claims it can offer up to 17.5 hours of total battery life.

In the sound department, the Tecno Megabook T1 is equipped with DTS X speakers. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It also features nine connectivity ports, including dual USB 3.0 ports, USB 3.1 Type-C, HDMI 1.4, USB 3.1 Type-A, a dedicated SD Card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

All in all, the Tecno Megabook T1 looks pretty impressive on paper. The technical specifications fall perfectly within the price segment and the company has asked a fair price for what it’s selling. So if you are planning to get yourself a new laptop, you can consider it among other options. Word to the wise, it’s a rather new company and a newer product, so it won’t harm to go with something more established.
