People have been crazy about Apple products long before it first launched the iPhone in 2007. From lining up for days outside Apple stores to fighting tooth and nail to get the latest iPhones, there have been stories of people going to absolute extremes for their Apple devices.
In the latest incident, a man was seen jumping into a sewer to retrieve his beloved AirPods. In a viral Instagram video posted by Unilad, a man embarked on the daring mission of entering a sewer and looking for the AirPods he had dropped.
It showed people literally putting their Apple devices over and above their own lives! Owning an Apple product is associated by its owners as a status symbol, thanks to its high prices and it is generally seen Apple users put more sentimental value in their devices than an Android user would.
The video that has been shared widely shows a man jumping into an open sewer and climbing out after retrieving it as onlookers laughed at the act.
While some were in for sheer disbelief, others could relate. The viral video received comments from a range of people, some of whom said, “I would do the same.” Another user wrote, “People working in sewers for less than $20 an hour, why wouldn’t he jump 2 minutes to retrieve $200 AirPods?”
Apple recently announced its latest range of iPhones, Watches, and AirPods that went on sale on September 22.
To lay their hands on the latest iPhone 15, people even got into a violent fight with store employees over the delay of the phone’s delivery.
